At the Fashion Scholarship Fund, we believe talent is everywhere. And access should be too.
That belief continues to shape FSF University, our free, self-paced learning platform designed to support every eligible student through the FSF Case Study and scholarship application process. Whether you’re attending a member school or not, FSF University exists to make sure you have the tools, guidance, and perspective to do your best work.
“We created FSF University to make sure every student has a clear path forward,” says Peter Arnold. “It’s a way to connect talent with opportunity, and to help students see where they fit within the future of this industry.”
This year, FSF University returns with expanded offerings, new perspectives, and a stronger connection to how the fashion industry actually works.
WHAT IS FSF UNIVERSITY?
FSF University is a virtual preparatory course designed to help you build your FSF Case Study and begin shaping your career in fashion. The program brings together educators and industry professionals to guide you through both the competition and the broader landscape you’re stepping into.
The 2026 curriculum has been restructured into three core modules:
Case Study Preparedness
Industry Insights
Workforce and Skill Development
Each module is built around short-form video sessions, followed by required check-ins and optional enrichment tools that help you apply what you’ve learned in a practical way. You can move through the course at your own pace, returning to materials whenever you need them.
WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR?
FSF University builds on last year’s foundation with expanded ways to learn, apply, and move forward.
Industry Insights Module
Hear directly from professionals across Business Strategy, Design and Product Development, Marketing, and Merchandising. These sessions focus on how ideas move through organizations, from early concept to execution.
Workforce and Skill Development Module
Practical guidance on navigating the industry once you’re in it, including networking, resumes, and how to approach the transition from internship to full-time role.
A Dynamic Learning Format
Some sessions bring together multiple voices in a more conversational format, reflecting how work and ideas are shared across teams and disciplines.
Module Check-Ins and Optional Enrichment Tools
Each module includes brief check-ins to provide feedback on your learning experience. Option enrichment tools, such as module checklists and self-guided assignments, are offered to reinforce the concepts in each module and reference down the road.
Expanded Resource Library
A new, optional library gives you space to go deeper when you want to. This includes:
A full archive of last year’s case study curriculum, which provided step-by-step, granular guidance on completing the case study, broken out by discipline
Peer advice from FSF Scholars and alumni with firsthand tips on completing the case study
Additional videos and tools for deeper exploration
Virtual Office Hours
Throughout the program, FSF educators and industry experts will host office hours where you can ask questions, get feedback, and refine your thinking in real time.
WHO CAN ENROLL?
Any eligible student can enroll in FSF University.
That includes students attending FSF member schools and those at schools outside the FSF network. If you’re eligible to apply for the FSF Scholarship, you can participate.
The program is completely free.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
FSF University is designed to support both your case study and your long-term career.
You’ll learn how to:
Understand and respond to the 2027 Case Study theme, Unlocking Hidden Potential
Conduct research across brand, consumer, and industry landscapes
Build a clear, compelling case study narrative
Translate ideas into a structured, professional presentation
Navigate networking, resumes, and early career decisions
The goal is to help you build a way of thinking that carries beyond the submission itself, giving you a clearer sense of how to approach the work and where you fit within it.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
To get started, you’ll first create a profile in FSF’s application portal, Wizehive. From there, you’ll receive instructions to access the course on Canvas via ASU Learning Enterprise, FSF University’s technology partner.
The course is self-paced and open through the case study submission deadline of October 12, 2026.
Each module includes:
20-minute video sessions
Required module check-ins
Optional checklists and assignments for deeper learning
To earn your FSF University Certificate, you’ll need to complete all required module check-ins. Certificates are issued after the course closes and can be added to your resume or LinkedIn. If you want additional support, you can attend virtual office hours or explore the Resource Library at any point.
IS FSF UNIVERSITY REQUIRED?
No, but it’s strongly encouraged.
For students without direct access to FSF educators or advisors, FSF University offers structure, guidance, and perspective that can shape both your case study and your understanding of the industry. It helps you enter the application process with a clearer perspective and stronger footing.
WELCOME TO YOUR FUTURE
FSF University is designed to meet you where you are and move you forward with clarity. It gives you the tools to build a strong case study, the perspective to understand how the industry works, and a clearer sense of where you fit within it.
If you’re ready to start, enroll through FSF and begin your journey toward the Class of 2027. We can’t wait to see what you build.
