Hannah Harris was a member of the inaugural Virgil Abloh™ “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund Class in 2021 and was an FSF Chairman’s Award Finalist in her scholarship year. Hannah graduated in 2022 from SCAD Savannah with a degree in the Business of Beauty and Fragrance. She served on the Virgil Abloh™ “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund Equity Committee from 2022-2024 and has been an active mentor to Virgil Abloh™ “Post-Modern” Scholars since her graduation. Today, she serves as a Brand Marketing Manager at Summer Fridays, where she helps bring the brand to life through experiential pop-ups, social campaigns, and on-the-ground activations.

From an award-winning case study as a Scholar to executing national brand moments for one of beauty's buzziest names, Hannah's path reflects the curiosity, community, and creative energy that FSF Scholars carry forward throughout their careers.

FSF: How would you describe your personal style in three words?

Hannah Harris: Feminine, textured, polished.

FSF: What's the most important lesson you learned through FSF?

HH: Anything is possible.

FSF: The future of fashion is _____.

HH: Creative.

FSF: How did FSF help you embark on your career—and how do you continue to tap into the community or its resources today?

HH: FSF helped me build meaningful connections within the beauty industry and introduced me to an inspiring community of creatives and professionals. It allowed me to enter rooms I had only dreamed of before. Today, I still stay connected with many fellow Scholars, and it's amazing to follow everyone's journeys.

FSF: Who or what has had the biggest influence on your fashion journey so far?

HH: Attending SCAD has had the biggest impact on my beauty journey so far. The Business of Beauty and Fragrance program prepared me to create an award-winning FSF case study and to confidently enter the industry with multiple internships and a range of experiences—from studying fragrance in France to connecting with industry leaders.

FSF: Can you tell us about a recent project you're proud of?

HH: A recent project I'm proud of is our Summer Fridays Miami Beach Club. It was such a full-circle moment to execute a pop-up for a brand I love in my hometown. My role within pop-ups is to help bring the vision and merch to life, amplify our efforts through social and OOH, and provide on-the-ground support. We saw over 4,000 people across two days.

FSF: What role do you see mentorship playing in the future of fashion?

HH: I think mentorship will continue to be essential for access to the industry. Having connections in beauty is so helpful for students trying to break in—it's such a small world.

FSF: Are there any lessons from your time as an FSF Scholar or Alumna that continue to resonate with you today?

HH: Recently meeting my FSF mentee, Sara, really inspired me. Before entering the industry, there's such a strong sense of passion and excitement, and hearing her talk reminded me so much of myself in college. It reminded me of how important it is to hold on to that energy and curiosity throughout your career.
